GLOB 2.0 (What You've Been Waiting For)

WE THOUGHT, "DEPIN IS GLOBAL. BUT HOW DO WE SHOW THAT SHAGA IS EVERYWHERE ON THE GLOBE?"

After some meme-monkey-neuron activation, we came up with: GLOB. A way for gamers and our community members to mark themselves where they are in the world, so they could also mark themselves officially part of Shaga's story and journey.

Then, it became an experiment on an ‘outside-the-box’ points program designed to redefine how gamers could interact with one another and how they can be rewarded within Shaga’s network.

In a rapidly evolving world of web3 and gaming, reward systems are paramount to sustaining a community–– but we've seen many fail and become unsustainable.

THE PROBLEM WITH TRADITIONAL POINTS SYSTEMS

In the web3 industry, users often face several challenges when it comes to traditional points systems. These systems frequently suffer from:

1. Lack of transparency on points distribution
2. Uncertainty about the fairness and accuracy of earned points
3. Most, if not all, are heavily botted and
4. Participants are left questioning whether their hard work is truly being recognized and whether the ratio of grind:reward is accurately reflected.

Engaging and retaining community members has also become an increasingly difficult task, with every project fighting for people’s attention on the timeline (TL). With so many options available, keeping community members invested in a single game requires a reward system that is both versatile and meaningful. Unfortunately, most points systems fall short, offering little value or utility for users, and causing an increase in value extractors to exploit the systems.

Another common issue is the fragmentation of rewards across different games and platforms. Users often find themselves juggling multiple reward systems, each with its own rules and limitations. This disjointed experience detracts from the overall enjoyment and can lead to player fatigue and lost interests.

Our solution? A super degen GLOB experience. 🤪
