What is a Node in the Shaga network?

A Node in the Shaga network is a gaming PC owned by a community member that contributes its computational power to our decentralized cloud gaming platform. These Nodes form the backbone of Shaga's infrastructure, allowing us to deliver low-latency, high-quality gaming experiences to users worldwide.

How can I become a Node provider?

It's easy! Download FriendGrid's Node Software, create your account and starting hosting game lobbies for your friends and community. When you become a Node provider, you're essentially sharing your gaming PC's idle resources with the Shaga network. This allows other gamers to stream and play games using your computer's processing power, graphics capabilities, and gaming library.

What are the hardware requirements to run a Shaga Node?
We recommend the following setup:

OS: Windows 10 or Newer
GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce 1080 GPU equivalent or greater
CONNECTIVITY: 20Mbps+ Ethernet Connection

Can I use my computer while it's acting as a Node?

As a host, of course! Enjoy playing side by side with your friends for some next-generation couch Co-Op. If you're not participating in the gameplay and are sharing your library with a client, we recommend not using your PC during this timeframe as your inputs can lead to a frustrating gameplay experience for your friends.

Is my personal data safe when I run a Node?

While we have taken the precautions of designing the system to be as secure as possible, it's advised to only let Trusted Clients (Friends) connect to your Host if there's personal data on your Node. If you want to participate in onboard-2-earn, best practice is to use a drive with no personal data.
